Doune 19 and 20th April

Gary Dickson ran a very resepctable 40.86 seconds on his first visit to the hill with the ex-James Blackmore OMS 25 he aquired this winter. The car runs the 1600cc Hayabusa power unit that James used to great effect in the Gurston Down championship.

Loton Park 20th April

The Summers family OMS CF1100 finished second in the 1100cc racing car class in the hands of Felix on the Sunday and third in class at the following day's event.

Trevor Willis set fastest time of day on the Sunday with the OMS 28 V8. He has converted the car to run on methanol and used this event to test before the British Hillclimb Championship round at Prescott on 27th April.

Easter Monday at Bouley Bay

Jersey MC hosted its annual Easter Monday meeting. Regular competitors in the 1100cc racing car class Richard Twinham and Colin le Galle were the only drivers in class with Richard having the upper hand today.

The all OMS 1600cc racing car class was won by Glyn Moignard in his OMS 2000M ahead of Steve and Cathy Elliott in their 2000M.

Loton Park 21st April

OMS SC1 drivers Charles Williams and Tim Cross drove their 1200cc car in sports libre up to 2.0 litres. Despite the power disadvantage, Tim finished a fine second in class, from Charles in third.

Supercharged OMS 28

Neville Rollason has taken delivery of his new OMS single seater. Powered by a 1300cc Suzuki Hayabusa with supercharger, the car will compete at Shelsley Walsh Hill Climb in Worcestershire on the weekend of 3rd and 4th May. It will be the first time the car has turned a wheel under power and Neville is eagerly waiting to see how it compares with his previous 1600cc OMS 25.

 

Les Val des Terres 21st April

Jackie Le Cheminant was back behind the wheel of the family OMS PR1100 that she shares with husband Ricky. She has had a couple of seasons away from driving following the birth of their two children. Also at the meeting were her brother Chris and father Geoff, share driving the 2 litre OMS CF04; with Chris finishing second in class and Geoff third.

Racing cars up to 1600cc fielded a number of OMS cars including the Charlie and Justin Smith OMS25, Sarah Gaudion in the OMS CF08 and Ali Hamon in an OMS PR.

Also at the event was Sports Libre runner Mark le Cras in his 1000cc OMS SC1 which was out gunned by the larger capacity cars in the class.
