Runnin' Down a Dream

Sarah Gaudion has once again lowered her own outright ladies hill record at Les Val des Terres Hill Climb in Guernsey, driving her OMS CF08. Sarah now holds the record with a time of 30.69 seconds.

At Monday's Bank Holiday meeting in the Channel Islands, OMS drivers were out in force. Mark Le Cras drove his beautifully prepared 1000cc OMS SC1 in the sports libre class, with a best time of 32.09 seconds. The class for racing cars up to 1100cc featured Ricky Le Cheminant in the La Villette Garage 1000cc OMS PR, his first timed run of 30.27 seconds was his best run placing him 2nd in class: he failed to finish on the second timed run. Third in class went to Alan Prevel in his Auto Repair Centre OMS with a best time of 34.37 seconds.

Racing cars up to 1600cc saw The Smiths Charlie & Justin, in their OMS 25, Sarah Gaudion in her OMS CF08 and Toby Nielson in his ABS Recovery OMS. Justin had the upper hand in the class, taking first place on 30.46 seconds, Sarah's time of 30.69 gave her second in class & the ladies record, whilst Toby finished third with a time of 30.80 seconds.

Father & son combo Geoff and Chris Guille took 4th and 2nd in the up to 2.0 litre racing car class, with best times of 30.91 and 30.07 seconds respectively.
